The staff at Pleasant Living is compassionate and provided great care for my aunt. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The caregivers at Pleasant Living Moroni House are friendly and create a pleasant environment. The owners of the facility genuinely care about the residents and make an effort to be involved in their care. The facility is capable of handling high-level care needs and provides decent care at an affordable price.
Both of my parents were under the care of [facility]. We moved both of them to other places. They don't do any activities. The residents just sit in chairs all day. They locked a resident with Alzheimer's in her room. The caregivers are just that - caregivers, not trained to deal with dementia/Alzheimer's patients. If I could give them less than zero - I would. Do NOT leave your elderly loved ones to be cared for here, particularly if they are not able to clearly communicate. They handle pretty much basic needs only. There are no bingo nights, no real activities outside of the T.V. There is typically only one staff member working at a time, caring for all 9 residents. Occasionally, there is miss-communication due to accent. I suspect one of the night persons sometimes sleeps on the sofa instead of checking beds or changing diapers when needed. The owners, I think, genuinely care about the people in their homes but are somewhat unorganized. The food is so-so. Cost feels high but is actually low when compared to some other facilities. My mom is getting bored with the T.V. and computer in her room.
