When we arrived at the property, the person we were supposed to meet was not yet there. Frustrated by the delay, I decided to take matters into my own hands and drove 4.4 miles to a nearby Staples store to print out the application myself. However, just as I was about to complete this task, someone from the property called me and assured me that they would take care of everything if I just came back. So, trusting their words, I returned to the property.
Upon our return, the person in charge showed us around. The property seemed nice and fairly new, with the unit my dad would potentially reside in being unoccupied at the moment. However, as we toured the premises, it became clear that what my dad really needed was a more supportive environment that catered to his specific needs. We required a place where there would be assistance available for him with things like medication management, laundry services, housekeeping, and meals.
Although the price of this particular property seemed affordable, it became evident that cost alone couldn't address our concerns about adequate care for my dad. The place simply wasn't fully set up or equipped to meet his requirements. This raised doubts in our minds regarding whether or not they were board certified or licensed to provide the level of care he needed.
In essence, my dad's need for more comprehensive care remains unfulfilled by this property. We are looking for a place where he can receive not only a comfortable living situation but also specialized attention tailored specifically for his needs. It is of utmost importance that he has someone by his side who is well-trained and capable of monitoring his medications, ensuring cleanliness in his living space, helping with daily chores like laundry and housekeeping while also providing nutritious meals.
To make an informed decision about finding suitable housing for my dad, we need assurances about certifications and qualifications from potential providers. Without such information readily available at this particular property, our concerns persist. We want to ensure that he receives the level of care that will truly enhance his quality of life.
In conclusion, while the property we visited appeared nice and had a vacant unit, it simply did not meet our needs for my dad's care. We are searching for a place where he can receive support that extends beyond just physical amenities. He requires a setting where qualified professionals are readily available to assist him with his medication, maintain cleanliness in his living space, provide housekeeping services, and offer nutritious meals. The lack of clarity regarding certification at this property has heightened our doubts about their ability to adequately care for my dad. Thus, we continue our search for a more suitable housing option that fulfills all of his needs.
