Overall Review of The Views at Lake Havasu Independent Living
Pros
The facility is incredible and well taken care of.
The staff and residents are nice.
The apartment finishes are very nice.
Being closer to family is enjoyable.
Despite some downsides, the facility is recommended to others.
Cons
The facility falsely advertises as a 55+ facility by allowing college students to live and eat there.
The recent COVID outbreak in the facility resulted in my 97-year-old step-dad being hospitalized.
The facility has continuously downgraded the food while increasing prices, which is concerning for older residents.
Adding teens to the residency and food service poses a dangerous risk to residents in their late 60's to 90's.
There have been issues with the quality of food and unfulfilled promises made by the facility.
Review
The facility in question has been praised as incredible by one reviewer, who mentions that their step-dad has been a resident there for several years. However, they express concern about the facility falsely advertising itself as a 55+ community. According to the review, there are college students living in the facility and even eating in the dining room alongside the older residents. The review takes a negative turn as it reveals that the reviewer's 97-year-old step-dad recently ended up in the hospital with COVID-19. While they acknowledge that the facility had very few issues during the epidemic, they express worry about several residents being quarantined due to COVID-19.
Another review contrasts with the previous one, painting a relatively positive picture of The Views, acknowledging its incredible facilities and well-maintained environment. The reviewer mentions that their experience living in a community for the first time has required an adjustment period but recognizes the benefit of being closer to their family. They describe their apartment as small but suitable for one person, with nice finishes. Although they express disappointment with the food selection and desire for more activities, they generally find both staff and residents at The Views to be friendly.
A different perspective on the food quality at The Views is shared by another reviewer who describes it as low quality. They also mention broken promises made by the facility. Despite these concerns, they still recommend The Views as a community for others.
In summary, these reviews offer varying perspectives on The Views facility. One highlights concerns about misleading advertising regarding age restrictions and expresses worry over COVID-19 cases among residents following a relatively trouble-free period during the epidemic. Another review paints a more positive picture of well-maintained facilities and friendly staff and residents but notes room for improvement in terms of food selection and activities. Finally, a reviewer shares dissatisfaction with food quality but still recommends The Views to others despite broken promises made by the facility.
