Katie was very informative and helpful. Katie is a great representative for Oakwood Hills, and they were pleased to work with her. Katie was incredibly knowledgeable and listened to the needs. Katie was patient with the father-in-law, answering all of his questions at his pace. Oakwood Hills is lucky to have someone like Katie. The associates are welcoming and understand each resident's individual preferences. Oakwood Hills is a remarkable senior living option with caring staff, a clean facility, and plenty of activities.
The following month, the facility changed ownership/management, and things went downhill quickly. They haven't improved. The food made her physically ill on a regular basis; they overcharged her multiple times; housekeeping and maintenance were hard to come by. They shouldn't be running a vacuum cleaner, much less a senior living facility. Good for seniors that don't need any care, but otherwise it's terrible. They are having staffing problems just as everyone else is. The food is not very good and there is not much of a selection at all. They are not able to follow through with the things that were promised up front. The outside areas are unsafe with handrails not kept up and dead trees that aren't taken care of. The management made large financial errors that they approached us with months later to take care of.
