    Review

Holly Oak is a beautiful facility with well-maintained apartments, but some residents have expressed concerns about certain aspects of the community. One recurring issue is the gates being left open to traffic, causing worries about safety in the higher crime area surrounding the complex. Additionally, there were complaints about the pool not being properly maintained during the second summer, leading to some residents choosing to no longer use it.

However, most of the grievances revolve around the manager of Holly Oak. While she can be friendly and nice, she has been described as quick to become defensive, unprofessional, and even mean and nasty. Numerous attempts at addressing these concerns through complaints, meetings with her supervisor, and contacting corporate headquarters have seemingly yielded no results. It has been suggested that Blazer Real Estate should provide more extensive PR training for her or consider replacing her if necessary.

Other residents have also shared their opinions on various shortcomings of Holly Oak. Some have mentioned the lack of night security and broken gates as issues that need attention. They also noted that common facilities such as the gym, computer center, and gathering room are only open on weekdays during business hours, which can be inconvenient for busy individuals who would like access outside of those times.

Furthermore, there were criticisms regarding maintenance turnover and insufficient care for flowers throughout the property. The manager's alleged dislike for certain people was mentioned by one maintenance worker who claimed that repair parts were not ordered to save money and had to be sourced from other properties or vacant apartments.

Residents have reported negative experiences when dealing with the manager, describing her as dismissive, short-tempered, and unwilling to address legitimate issues. Some felt that they were not treated with trust or respect based on assumptions made about all residents due to a few feeble individuals living in the community.

Other points raised include stained hallway floors that resist cleaning efforts even with pressure washing; a locked gate preventing handicapped individuals from enjoying a lovely pond; a lack of bug spray technicians; and limited activities, especially during times when gathering restrictions were not in place.

On a positive note, Holly Oak is said to be situated in a pretty area and built at an elevated level compared to neighboring properties, potentially alleviating flooding concerns. However, many tenants have reportedly moved out within two years due to management issues and safety concerns.

Overall, it seems that Holly Oak has its fair share of positives and negatives. While the apartments are aesthetically pleasing and the staff members are generally fine, there are ongoing problems with management responsiveness, maintenance turnover, limited access to common facilities, and various issues related to resident treatment and communication. Prospective residents should carefully consider these factors before making their living choices.
