Review

Home Sweet Home has quickly become a beloved residence for my father, who moved in just a couple of weeks ago. The owner/operator, Ivona, has proven herself to be an incredibly kind and caring individual towards all her residents. Not only that, but her home exudes a sense of cleanliness and beauty that is truly remarkable.

It is evident that Ivona takes great pride in maintaining the immaculate condition of her establishment. Every corner of the house reflects her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing a comfortable environment for her residents. It is no wonder why my father felt instantly at home here.

One aspect that makes Home Sweet Home stand out even further is Ivona's decision to hire a caregiver named Jodi to fill in for the two days she takes off each week. Jodi brings with her a wealth of experience as a former career nurse and has seamlessly transitioned into this part-time role under Ivona's guidance. Her dedication and passion for caring shines through, and it is clear that she genuinely enjoys engaging with the residents.

My father, who unfortunately suffers from Alzheimer's disease, has particularly taken a liking to Jodi. Despite his awareness of his fading memory and occasional bouts of fear or distress, Jodi's presence seems to calm him down tremendously. It brings me immense relief to see their bond forming and witnessing the positive impact Jodi has on my father's overall well-being.

However, I do have some concerns regarding my father's occasional displays of anger when he feels fearful or upset about something. Ivona has made it known that she does not tolerate any anger within her home, which naturally worries me. Nonetheless, I can only hope that she understands the complexities of Alzheimer's disease and recognizes that these outbursts are not intentional or controllable actions by my father.

Above all else, I am determined not to uproot my father again from such a wonderful living situation. His contentment at Home Sweet Home is evident, and I am immensely grateful for the care and compassion provided by Ivona and Jodi. The warm and welcoming environment they have created, coupled with their understanding of Alzheimer's intricacies, makes it clear that my father is in good hands.
