Review

In recent times, my aunt has transitioned into a new community and the experience thus far has been quite pleasant. We are truly satisfied with the level of care and attention she is receiving from the staff. The team has been excellent in their approach and I feel at ease knowing that my aunt is in good hands. Moreover, she thoroughly enjoys the dining experience and relishes the delicious meals prepared by the resident chef. The community also offers a diverse range of activities and events throughout the week, ensuring that all residents stay engaged and busy.

The warm and friendly atmosphere of this converted farmhouse turned senior living facility truly makes it feel like home for its residents. Situated within a middle-class community, it is surrounded by caring neighbors who provide a sense of comfort to both residents and their families. Additionally, watching children playing and parents supervising in the neighborhood from windows and porches brings a smile to the faces of the residents, fostering a sense of belonging. The competent staff members go above and beyond to make each resident feel special.

The overall impression of this community is highly positive, as they have been absolutely wonderful in caring for my aunt. I have no concerns about her well-being since they provide great food which is always fresh and homemade. A dietitian visits monthly to plan menus, ensuring a balanced diet for all residents. The dedication to quality in every aspect is truly commendable.

During our visit to explore options for my parents, we found Karen to be extremely helpful in answering all our questions about this particular home. Although ultimately this facility was not suitable for our parents due to its age, we appreciated that they were actively updating each room when it became vacant. However, upon arrival, we noticed ashtrays full on the front porch (designated smoking area) as well as a full trash can; these clues led us to conclude that this may not be the right fit for our loved ones. The tour revealed an upstairs area with a chair lift for residents who require assistance, and the aides working there were friendly. While the home had a couple of areas with two steps, the staff assured us that they assist clients in navigating them. Unfortunately, this feature would not be suitable for my mom as she cannot manage steps, but it is worth noting that the community has other homes in Baltimore County that may be in better condition.

In the short time since my aunt moved into this community, everything seems to be going well. Her room is comfortable and suits her needs perfectly. The food looks appetizing and she has been enjoying it. Most importantly, the staff members are cheerful and seem genuinely happy to be assisting the residents.

Overall, this senior living community appears to offer a welcoming environment with caring staff who prioritize the happiness and well-being of their residents. From excellent care and dining experiences to engaging activities and events, this community strives to make its residents feel at home. While there may be some improvements needed in certain areas of the facility, it is evident that efforts are being made to address these concerns. Ultimately, the positive aspects highlighted by those who have experienced this community firsthand outweigh any potential shortcomings.
