The staff truly cares about each resident. The ownership and staff are wonderful at every point in the journey. Claire, the nurse on staff, is kind, concerned and thoughtful. Noel and Lalaine provide superb, compassionate, empathetic treatment. The homes are clean, updated, and homey. They catch health issues and proactively get residents the care they need. The staff treat residents and families like family and advocate for residents. The care is exemplary and brings comfort and dignity to residents.
He choked to death while being watched by untrained staff at Abundant Blessings and Care. CDPHE investigated and cited the facility for various violations. The facility abandoned the family and never apologized. The facility is not professional or skilled. The facility was negligent and should not be in business. People should not send a loved one there. The owner blamed the husband and his visiting friend for the death. The owner did not take responsibility for what happened that night. The autopsy showed evidence of aspiration (choking) and noted an unexplained subcutaneous hemorrhage of the left frontal scalp.
