Review

When my 99-year-old mother faced a difficult turn in 2021, the path forward seemed uncertain. She had fallen while sitting down for dinner at her assisted living facility, fractured her hip, and after surgery and a period of rehabilitation in a skilled nursing facility, the original place would not take her back because they judged she needed more care than they could provide. In our search for a compassionate alternative, we found St Tropez Senior Care in Lincoln, California. They welcomed her as a resident and offered us immediate relief and hope when we needed it most. It proved to be the best decision we could have made for her care and peace of mind for our family.

From the moment she joined St Tropez, it was clear that the home was different in the best possible way. The atmosphere is described as bright and happy, a place where smiles and laughter come naturally and where residents feel truly cared for. The staff, under the leadership of owners Tanya and Florin Hobjila, created an environment that felt like home rather than a facility. The caregivers treated my mother with consistent warmth and attentiveness, and the entire place reflected a culture of genuine love and respect for every resident.

The way St Tropez manages daily life stood out just as strongly as the caring attitude. They were eager to accommodate her personal preferences, including simple, joyful requests like mid-afternoon peanut butter snacks, and they prepared meals that were not only healthy but also tasty. The combination of thoughtful diet, respectful attention to her comfort, and an engaging, lively daily routine helped her remain engaged and content in her living environment.

Celebrations were a meaningful part of life at St Tropez. The home marked birthdays and holidays with special attention, and their Christmas party was a standout moment - a festive occasion that included a visit from Santa bearing a sack full of gifts. These thoughtful touches added rhythm and warmth to her days, reinforcing the sense that she was cherished and part of a community that celebrated life at every turn.

Our family valued how open and communicative the staff were about her health and activities. Tanya and Florin made it a priority to keep us informed about any health issues and the various happenings at the home. We were welcome to visit at any time - whether for a quick drop-in or a longer stay - and we always felt included and supported. The couple and their team made us feel like part of their family as well, which significantly eased the strain of having a loved one in care.

The care my mother received at St Tropez was consistently described as the absolute best - deep kindness, careful attention, and a consistent effort to keep her happy and engaged. Even as her needs evolved, especially as she approached the end of life, the staff and management remained steadfast in their commitment to her well-being. Her days were marked by comfort and engagement, and she remained a resident of a place she could call home until the very end.

In the final chapter of her life, St Tropez continued to support both my mother and our family with the same level of dedication. When hospice care was added to her plan in mid-2024, she remained a resident at St Tropez, with hospice services coming in as needed and the staff working closely with the hospice provider. She passed away in mid-2024 at the age of 101?, surrounded by family and staffed by people who truly cared. We are deeply grateful that she was able to spend her last years within a community that loved and cared for her so personally and wholeheartedly, with her needs attended to until the very end.

Overall, our experience with St Tropez Senior Care was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of a loving, attentive environment, thoughtful daily routines, meaningful celebrations, open family communication, and the capacity to adapt to evolving needs created a setting where my mother could thrive and feel at home. I confidently recommend St Tropez Senior Care to anyone seeking compassionate, professional, and high-quality care for their loved ones, knowing that they will be treated with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion every day.
