The independent living is very nice. The parents are beyond happy at Fellowship Square. They rave about the food, the recreational activities, and the staff. The on-site dining room, cafe, convenience store, and meeting/craft rooms are added bonuses. Leadership reinvests back into the community with fresh flowers, a new parking lot, and paint. It is a pleasure to visit because it is consistently clean and up to date. The property is well cared for, including the grounds. The staff are wonderful and the smiles on residents' faces are evident. The food is excellent and very healthy. There are many activities and events for enjoyment. The grounds and buildings are beautiful, with landscaping, a fountain, a pond, and an outdoor pool. The location is wonderful for independent living and some assisted living.
The price triples when moving to assisted living, and the level of care isn't there. There is no dining room, so all meals are delivered in styrofoam, cold, and never what residents asked for. The staff for the entire building is only four people. It's borderline neglectful to operate with such limited staffing. Assisted living is disappointing after an excellent independent living experience. The excuse is that they are understaffed, but many other places are fully staffed.
