The facility and owner were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were nicely furnished with the ability for residents to bring in their own furniture. The common area was spacious and well-furnished, serving multiple functions. The outdoor common areas and garden were lovely. Coffee and snacks were available to the residents. Speech, Physical, and Occupational therapists and beautician/barber were on-call for visits as needed. The owners of Tumwater Meadows were wonderful and seemed very caring. The facility had a beautiful wooded setting which provided a quiet atmosphere.
Some of the current residents seemed mobility challenged and unhappy with their aging situations. The resident I spoke with seemed satisfied but not happy to be there. Other residents watched me but didn't return smiles, possibly indicating their unhappiness. It was not the ideal choice for our parents. The resident's comment "It's a place" implies dissatisfaction with the facility.
