Chowan River has a very caring staff that provides great care. The facility - from nursing to rehab to dietary to housekeeping - is top notch. The staff goes above and beyond for residents every day and makes a difference. The staff is friendly and answers questions; the meals are home-cooked and plentiful; the place is kept clean. The staff began to feel like family. The CNAs are excellent with residents. The rehab team is competent, effective, encouraging, and patient. The admin and nursing staff do a remarkable job providing personalized care. The team makes residents a top priority and shows care for their families. The physical and occupational therapists are absolutely wonderful. They would recommend Chowan River to anyone who needs SNF care. If in need of rehab in the future, Chowan River would be the top choice.
