When searching for a new home for our loved ones, it is crucial to find a facility that is clean, organized, and free of clutter. Fortunately, we stumbled upon a facility that met all these requirements and more. From the moment we stepped foot into the facility, we were impressed with its pristine condition. The staff members, particularly Ms. Hawkins, welcomed us warmly and immediately connected with our family member. This mutual admiration was a significant plus and assured us that our loved one would be in caring hands.
One of the standout features of this care home was its impeccable cleanliness. Every corner of the facility was spotless, emphasizing how much effort was put into ensuring a healthy and hygienic environment for the residents. Additionally, the facility's size was impressive, providing ample space for everyone to move around comfortably.
Although there were stairs leading up to the bedrooms, we were relieved to discover that a chair lift had been installed to assist those who had difficulty navigating steps. Safety measures were also taken into account as there was a gate at the top of the stairs which would be put in place at night to prevent any accidents or falls. Furthermore, each room had an alarm on the door activated during nighttime hours to alert staff if a resident required assistance.
The rooms themselves were delightful, each equipped with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and bedside radios for entertainment purposes. To cater to individual needs and convenience, each resident had their own bedside commode since there was only one bathroom available. It truly felt like a home away from home with comfortable furnishings including cozy chairs where residents could relax and unwind.
Ms. Joann, another caring staff member at this facility, showed immense kindness towards all residents under her care. However, she did have certain expectations such as encouraging clients to participate in day programs outside of the facility. While some may thrive in such activities, it is essential to consider individual preferences before committing fully.
Despite our slight reservations about the distance to this care home and our loved one's previous experiences with day programs, we continue to deliberate. In fact, we offered Ms. Joann the opportunity to accept another client if they could provide a definite answer before us. However, the facility's overall ambiance and the compassion exhibited by its staff have undeniably left a positive impression on us.
In conclusion, finding a caring and well-maintained facility for our loved ones is of utmost importance. Our experience at this particular care home was nothing short of superb. From the cleanliness and organization of the facility to the warm personalities of Ms. Hawkins and Ms. Joann, we felt reassured that our family member would receive the attention, care, and love they deserved. While certain considerations such as distance and personal preferences remain, it is clear that this facility has set high standards in providing a safe and comfortable environment for its residents.
