Review

Heritage Park, an older facility, recently underwent some construction work on the exterior. While the appearance on the outside was deemed acceptable, there were concerns about cleanliness upon entering the premises. Unpleasantly, there was a strong odor of urine permeating throughout the facility. The rooms were described as small and outdated, which further added to the disappointment of this particular visitor. However, despite these shortcomings, it was noted that the staff member who provided the tour was notably helpful.

Unfortunately, things did not improve for this individual when her husband was admitted to Heritage Park for rehabilitation following a fall. The wife specifically inquired about COVID-19 cases within the facility and was informed that there were none. It later came to light that there were actually up to 50 cases at that time, even though her husband had tested negative just two days prior to admission. Consequently, he was immediately placed under quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

The quality of rehab offered during his stay remained unsatisfactory; most of his exercise consisted of standing in his room counting or walking a short distance from his bed to the door. After completing his initial quarantine period, he expected to resume regular activities but found himself back in isolation due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 after not having been at work for ten days. This resulted in severely limited mobility and interaction with other residents.

Furthermore, the meals provided did not meet expectations either. Despite expressing his preferences and dislikes regarding certain foods, it seemed as though little consideration was given to accommodating them. On numerous occasions, his entire tray would be removed only to be replaced with a meager sandwich devoid of any additional sides or beverages. Such subpar meal arrangements only added to their overall disappointment with Heritage Park.

In conclusion, Heritage Park left much to be desired according to these reviews. The facility's lackluster appearance combined with cleanliness concerns created a less than ideal environment for visitors and residents alike. The misinformation regarding COVID-19 cases within the facility further eroded trust, as patients and their families were not adequately informed or protected. Additionally, the subpar rehabilitation program and unsatisfactory meal arrangements only served to compound the visitors' negative experiences.
