Review

Moving a loved one into a new facility is never an easy decision, especially when their health condition limits their ability to participate in activities. However, despite these limitations, we were relieved to find out that the facility did indeed offer a variety of activities for residents. Unfortunately, due to the timing of our loved one's move coinciding with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, visitation was often challenging and restricted. Nevertheless, we made the most out of window visits to ensure some form of connection.

While we couldn't personally experience the meal service ourselves, it is reassuring to know that it was available at the facility in question. Our mom, who currently resides in Colorado while we're in Florida, expressed her preference for this new facility over the previous one she lived in. It seems that she finds the food to be satisfactory and has not raised any concerns or complaints thus far.

The friendly staff at the facility also played a crucial role in making our mom feel comfortable and welcome. Their warm demeanor and willingness to assist her with any needs or inquiries have been greatly appreciated. Being so far away from our mom can naturally cause some anxiety and worries; however, hearing that she has had positive interactions with friendly staff helps alleviate some of those concerns.

Of course, no review would be complete without acknowledging the challenges posed by COVID-19. The timing of our loved one's move undoubtedly complicated matters regarding visitation and overall experiences within the facility itself. Nevertheless, it is commendable that despite these limitations, window visits were allowed as a means of maintaining connection during these unprecedented times.

In conclusion, while our loved one's health condition prevented her from fully participating in all activities offered by this facility, we are grateful that such options existed for other residents. Furthermore, even though we couldn't personally experience it ourselves due to distance constraints during these uncertain times, our mom's positive feedback regarding the food quality and friendly staff help reassure us that she is in good hands. While the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic certainly impacted visitation and overall experiences, we appreciate the efforts made by the facility to adapt and accommodate residents through window visits.
